L’ou com balla!!!

Si estás por Barcelona el día de Corpus Christi, verás que algunas fuentes estarán adornadas con flores y arriba del surtidor de agua un huevo estará bailando sin parar. Se trata de L’ou com balla (el huevo como baila en catalán), una tradición cuyo origen no se sabe a ciencia cierta y lo podrás encontrar en las fuentes del claustro de la Catedral, el Museo Frederic Marès, la Casa de l’Ardiaca y otros lugares de la ciudad, mayormente en el Barrio Gótico.

If you’re around Barcelona on Corpus Christi day you’ll notice that some fountains will be decorated with flowers and on top of the water jet there will be an egg dancing non-stop. It’s the L’ou com balla (dancing egg in Catalan), a tradition which origin is not clear and you can find in the fountains of the Cathedral cloyster,the Frederic Marès Museum, the Casa de l’Ardiaca and another places around the city, specially in the Gothic Quarter.
