Desde el terrado de la Catedral de Barcelona / From Barcelona Cathedral rooftop

Si entras por la puerta principal de la Catedral de Barcelona, encontrarás a tu izquierda un viejo ascensor que te llevará al terrado y tendrás una vista 360º de la ciudad, donde podrás observar desde el mar, hasta la montaña del Tibidabo e incluso a lo lejos, la Sagrada Familia. Arriba no hay mucho espacio pero hay un banco donde te puedes sentar a admirar el horizonte… lo malo es que ahora mismo hay una grúa de construcción que arruina el paisaje. El acceso cuesta 2,50 euros. ¿Vale la pena? Creo que sí, siempre y cuando entres mientras la Catedral es gratis (lunes a sábado de 8:00am-12:30pm y luego de 5:15pm a 7:30pm) o de la contrario tendrás que pagar previamente 6 euros. Subir al terrado de la Catedral del Mar en El Born cuesta 5 euros, aunque incluye una visita guiada o puedes ir al bar en la terraza del Hotel Barceló Raval… y si estás por algún tiempo en Barcelona, con un poco de suerte un amigo o conocido que viva en el centro puede invitarte algún día a una fiesta en terraza con vistas muy parecidas… ¡y gratis!

If you enter by the main gate of Barcelona Cathedral, you’ll find to your left an old elevator that will take you to the rooftop and you’ll have a 360º view of the city, where you could take a look to the sea, the Tibidabo mountain or even in the distance, the Sagrada Familia. There’s not much space up in the rooftop, but there’s a bench where you could sit and stare at the horizon… the bad thing is that right now a construction crane will ruin you the view. The admission costs 2.50 euros. Does it worth it? I think so, but only if you enter to the Cathedral while is free (monday to sunday, from 8:00am to 12:30pm and then from 5:15pm to 7:30pm) otherwise you’ll have to pay 6 euros. Visit Catedral del Mar rooftop in El Born costs 5 euros, but it also includes a guided visit or you could go to Barceló Ravel Hotel rooftop bar… and if your going to stay in Barcelona for a while, with a little bit of luck a friend or someone you know that lives in the center will invite you to a party in a rooftop with similar views… and for free!
